with a little courage

Yesterday was the ninth anniversary of my mother's death. Well truly, her actual burial. I think it's perversely funny that she was buried on April 1st. A tribute I penned in last night, to the tune of Dot Allison's Tomorrow Never Comes. I forgot that the opening lines are,

You're sailing away, to another shore
My heartache today, I can't tell you anymore

And I thought I saw your shadow in the street today
But that was yesterday, oh that was yesterday

With a little courage, in time
You might forgive me
With a little loving, in time
You might forgive me

We kinda fell on bad days before she passed and never really recovered from that. Neither one of us really knew how to do it, or had the courage or wherewithal. pax.
